Below is a sketch I made for the potential sensory room.

As of now, our plan is to create a sensory room installation in one of the phone booths at 370 Jay Street. Last semester, we tried an approach that would encourage people to social with each other while destressing. We had coloring tools and large sheets of paper for people to express themselves through tracing and coloring. However, we decided to take a different approach in order to address some issues regarding space and promotion. This time, our team is opting for more of an individual experience rather than that with a group of people.
Inside the room, there will be a projector for displaying calming visuals, a selection of sensory toys, a surround sound system for a soothing audio experience, and a mat for people to relax on. Additionally, we are thinking of implementing scent necklaces for an additional olfactory stimulation. The room will not permit shoes and will allow one person at a time to experience our installation at a time limit.
We are planning to launch the event within the next month. So far, we are finalizing the details of the space and getting in contact with the necessary staff members to help finalize our launch date.
